Hyundai India has been working on its new cars very secretly, but at the 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi, company’s secret has been revealed with all pomp and show. Hyundai Motors India Limited showcased a new MPV concept, Hyundai Hexa Space, which sure is an imagination of clever mind. Along with this smart MPV, Hyundai India also revealed its premium sedan, Hyundai Sonata. Out of these two, Hyundai Hexa Space is just a concept now and the production version is still awaited in the country. With so many auto giants showcasing their new products at the Auto Expo 2012 in New Delhi, Hyundai India managed to showcase itself very nicely.

Hyundai India seems to have a bag full of surprises. A piece of hot news tells us that Hyundai could bring a brand new concept Hyundai HND-7 MPV for a display at the 2012 Auto Expo. Though it is too early to say anything about the engine specifications and how the concept is going to look like until another hint, the concept MPV definitely leaves one guessing on a couple of things. First and foremost , is this MPV meant to be an answer from Hyundai India for Maruti Ertiga. Because, if it is we might as well dare to assume the Hyundai MPV price to be in the similar range. Coming to the diesel engine options for the new Hyundai MPV, this could be anybody’s guess. The Korean manufacturer can conveniently make use of the Hyundai Verna’s 1.6 L or the Hyundai i20’s 1.4 L diesel powertrains. The Fluidic design is what we can expect in the HND-7 concept MPV as well as Hyundai seems to get the new design down to each and every forthcoming model from Hyundai.

Hyundai India has got some bad news for its consumers. The firm is planning to hike its car prices by 1.5 to 2% by the month of January 2012. In the month of November 2011, Hyundai India has done pretty well in terms of its sales. It saw a decent growth of about 28% as compared to the November last year. Reason behind this decent growth in November is the launch of Hyundai i10 LPG. The car has surely contributed considerably in the sales of the company. Hyundai i10 is an undisputed champion in the hatchback segment. Available in an all-petrol variant, the lack of diesel variant is immensely felt by the Indian consumers. While the craze for the diesel cars is on rise, the company has picked a middle way and introduced the Hyundai i10 in the LPG guise today. Hyundai EON so far has received an overwhelming response for the new car. Hyundai India is targeting to sell around 1.5 lakh Hyundai EONs every year. In between this ambit, 4 more models are adjusted making to a total of 6 variants all in petrol, housing 814 cc-3 cylinder engine mated to 5 speed manual transmission.
