The Mercedes-Benz CLS based CLA baby saloon has managed to stay in the news for a while now. And from what it looks like, it is now ready to be showcased at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show next month. This new baby version of the CLS has been developed primarily for the American and Chinese markets, where small saloons are currently in vogue. They've never been a big hit in Europe, but all the German premium brands are working their way around developing a handful of such cars. Mercedes is pinning its hopes of market leadership on cars that branch out into new segments. About five years ago, it was luxury MPVs that everybody was after, and now it’s luxury compact sedans. Audi, Mercedes and BMW are all preparing one such model and they will all be sold in the US, though the Bavarian’s is a long way away. Furthermore, the Mercedes Benz CLA will be revealed in January 2013 at Detroit Motor Show while its new AMG variant along with A45 AMG will premier at Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013 with its debut at Geneva Motor Show in March 2013. To announce these upcoming models, this German luxury car manufacturer has released videos and pictures of their pending future models albeit with some camouflage.

And this time around , it is the Mercedes-Benz E-Class's turn. The Mercedes Benz E-Class has now been subjected to a major transformation, which has rendered it almost unrecognizable from its previous version. Mercedes-Benz has just finished updating the E-Class, revealing a host of changes that includes styling, engines, more standard equipment and safety features. Most of the upgrades received by thde car are centered around its styling along with the addition of revised headlamps that shed the classic 'four-eyed' look in lieu of a rather contemporary style. The front-end of the E-Class sees a lot of change as well, where the bonnet now follows the new design in a smooth and straight forward manner. The bumper has also been re-designed to be free of all light functions and is now much more modern in appearance. Furthermore, this new family of vehicles, that includes the usual saloon, estate and two-door models, will be officially launched on January 13th at the 2013 North American Auto Show in Detroit.
