To make the best out the festive fervor, Nissan India launched the limited edition of the Nissan Sunny sedan, only available in diesel avatar. It is badged as Nissan Sunny XV D special edition, and the vehicle is priced at Rs. 9, 86,725 (Ex-showroom New Delhi). The car costs around Rs. 50,000 more than Sunny’s current line-topper XV D (diesel). The vehicle has got a stylistic makeover while the underpinning has remained the same.
Nissan has launched the new edition of Evalia for this festive season. The October launch seems to work well for automakers as Diwali is the occasion when people buy new products including cars; this could help the Japanese auto major garner maximum sales for the whole year. The company hopes to make up for all its losses with the launch of this fresh version of Nissan Evalia. The Japanese auto major introduced its Evalia MPV in the year 2012, riding high on expectations.
Nissan India has finally launched the much anticipated compact SUV, the Terrano at 9.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai). It is the third product from the Renault-Nissan alliance which gets the badge engineering treatment after the Renault Scala and Pulse. The Nissan Terrano is based entirely upon the highly popular Renault Duster. This time it is the Japanese automaker which has done the rebadging treatment from its French alliance; earlier Renault rebadged the Nissan Sunny and Micra. The Terrano is around Rs. 50,000 more costlier than its sibling, the Duster. It is the new entrant in the C-segment and will compete against the best seller Ecosport, highly accepted Duster and the Mahindra Quanto.
One segment that has the potential to question the supremacy of small cars in the Indian market is the compact SUV segment. The compact SUV market is growing in the Indian market and has seen a hike of over 30 percent; also, even when the auto industry as a whole, is going down, the SUV segment is going great guns. This explains why the market is seeing auto majors from all over the world wanting to usher new models in the thriving (compact) SUV segment. Nissan cannot wait to get on this fast running train and is waiting to encash the success of Renault Duster.
Nissan, the Japanese automaker, came up with another brilliant budget-friendly car in India. The ever-booming segment, hatchback cars, receives another addition with Nissan's New Micra. The New Micra's launch, pulling the proverbial rabbit out of the hat, suites Nissan the best. Nissan had rolled out two models at a go - one the base model which is christened, Nissan Micra Active and the other, as New Micra.
When the Japanese people used to commute from one place to another through bicycles and carriages, Masujiro Hashimoto envisioned a car that was a pure Japanese breed, ‘DAT’. The first four- wheeler from the brand was launched as early as 1914 and the word DAT represented the three financiers who backed the development of that Datsun Car: Den, Aoyama and Takeuchi. The brand was growing with the speed of wildfire and the representation of DAT changed to Durable, Attractive and Trustworthy for a span of 30 years. With the fuel crunch in the 1960s the name fitted really well with the brand and it grew up to become a global success.
Datsun saw rapid growth in the whole era of 1970 and went to touch the global front in the 1980s. However, under the sound of success, the slow and steady retreat back to square one was barely noticed till it blew away the entry level giant in the year 1981. Datsun, the brand which was coveted by generations of customers for contemporary styling, modern engineering, durability and reliability, was phased out to give rise to the new kingdom of Nissan.
The current scenario of Indian auto world showcases the need of facelifted models to match the varied needs of the market. To cater to on segment of such needs, Japanese automaker, Nissan will soon come up with facelifted model of one its all-rounder Micra. The company's official sources have revealed that the launch is planned on July 3rd in Mumbai, although the possibility is that the car launch may occur on various dates at different places.
It's only a month ago that Nissan hosted the unveiling event of facelifted Micra at global frontier which includes places like Thailand and UK. It will roll out soon in India. Recently they teased out through social media sies the news of this particular launch, tagging it to be a 'coming soon' car. The major reason behind this makeover decision was the incapability of the previous model of the car to attract the potential male buyers. So the company has made its efforts to change its looks, turning it into a bit more musculine.
The revamped Nissan Micra looks more dynamic at its front end, and interiors are made more vivacious. Talking about the changes, Nissan Micra now has new aggressive looking headlamps, more significant grille design holding company's circular badge and a V-shaped motif in chrome underneath the badge. Moreover, to add contemporary touch to the car, bonnet has been made more aggressive as well as restyling of front and rear bumper is also observed. Now Nissan Micra will also be available in a fresh 'Pacific Blue' color exteriorly. Moving to the rear end of the car, introducing new LED tail lamps and few changes also made to the hatch lid. Although the side profile of the car is retained as the earlier one, but alloy wheels are made available for the higher variants.
Much have been talked about the upcoming Nissan version of Duster, well here CarDekho.com brings you some more news about it. According to the sources this new cross badged Duster would be christened as Nissan Terrano. The vehicle is expected to be costing about Rs 50,000- Rs 75,000 more then the current Duster version. The cross badging of both the makers is quite popular in the country as they jointly introduced some leading cars in the market. This Nissan Terrano price will be in accesible range of Duster buyers and other prospectives.
Nissan India, as sources reveal, is going to phase out the X-Trail model early in in 2014. The Japanese automobile giant will bring to market three SUVs in the next year, one of which will be meant to replace X-Trail. However, there are possibilities that X-Trail will be replaced by a new crossover. Though there has been no official announcement on part of Nissan, resources hint at why they are going to take this model out, though there are certain very obvious reasons. Nissan X-Trail, one of the first crossover SUVs Nissan had introduced, is a very impressive and technologically rich product, and there is simple no scope for doubt regarding this. Going by the reviews and the number of sales it has generated, it can be labelled as one of the very popular SUVs to have run on Indian roads. However, there are certain not-so-impressive factors about this model due to which it may not compete with its counterparts in the long run. It is, perhaps, this apprehension that makes its manufacturers step back and come up with a new model.
Nissan Sunny, the star performer of the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese automaker, Nissan Motor Company, has been launched in a Special Edition in the country's car bazaar. Known and praised for its exceptionally good spaciousness, reasonable pricing and a fairly well-loaded set of features prior to this launch, the flagship sedan car will now be applauded for the fabulous add-ons that have been introduced in this new edition. Keeping the updates to cosmetic levels only, this Special Edition has been rolled out with both petrol and diesel power-houses, providing sufficient versatility for the buyers' benefit. As far as the Nissan Sunny Special Edition price is concerned, the petrol model for the car has been tagged with Rs 8.60 lakh while the oil-burner is available for a sum of Rs 9.68 lakh (Prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
