The 2014 Indian Auto Expo has created a lot of buzz in the auto industry. Auto companies are getting geared up to introduce their respective models in the market. The event has gathered quite a lot of popularity in past few years, while the 2014 gathering will also be huge to attract media attention across the globe. There are various auto companies, local and international brands that will put their vehicles on display. Talking about one of the highly rated homegrown auto company, Tata Motors is one amongst the list to introduce its new vehicles. As declared by the company's officials, Tata Indica Vista Facelift which is scheduled to debut at the same 2014 Indian Auto Expo, has been spotted during its test runs near Coimbatore. As far as the journey of this model is concerned, Tata Indica Vista was launched in the hatchback segment that has wooed many in the past. In the same segment, this particular model by Tata has considerably covered pretty good market share for the company. And this time with the facelift version, Tata pitches itself more stronger against other brand models. The refreshed Indica Vista has been named as Falcon 4, which is even considered as the replacement to the on-going Vista.
Tata Sumo was one of the first indigenously designed vehicles in India, launched in 1994 when the market comprised only of Fiat 1100 based Premier Padmini, HM Ambassador and Mahindra jeeps based on Ford-Willys. Tata Sumo was based on Tata LCV platform and share most of the under pinning’s with the Sierra, Tatamobile and Estate models. Soon, the car got acceptance as one of the first Indian MPVs. Tata Safari Stotme belongs to a time when the SUV segment in India was neither popular nor thriving. 14 years back, when the Tata Safari was first launched, it came up with MPV-styled looks and indigenous design qualities and only the true off-roader from the brand Tata. Mahindra seemed to rule the road and Tata Safari did not shake the earth nor increased the footfalls in the showrooms as soon as the SUV was launched.
Tata Motors India, in order to enhance the sales of its commercial vehicles like 2013 Tata Nano, have come up with a new strategy - ’easy finance’. With the increase in costs and loans on vehicles not so easily available, Tata has signed up a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with UCO Bank for customers to avail finance on its range of commercial vehicles and added facilities for its customers. The Indian conglomerate has been facing tough times with the slowdown of the industry and this strategy of easy finance can get the sales back on track.
When Ratan Tata's dream of developing India’s most affordable small car to leverage the growing small car market, came true, the whole world had to think small for once. India is a thriving small car market which has not only made the world see different but has also changed the perspective of luxury brand makers. The mid-size products not only need less space in terms of road driving and parking but are also less fuel hungry. The middle class has a lot to do with the success of the small car market and with them, the age of buying the first vehicle has also decreased.
The first time buyers look towards hatchbacks as it is easy on pockets and make a safe option to buy. Tata Nano 2013 was one such car with which the Indian automajor was looking to fulfill the dreams of low economy first time buyers. However, the dream Tata was looking to fill with colors, blacked out its own dreams to succeed in the Indian auto industry. The buyers did not adapt well with the low cost, no frill car and Tata had to redesign Nano in order to make it adaptable in the brutal entry level market of India. Here is a Tata Nano comparison that looks at whether it now has the flair to succeed in the market or needs to revise its strategy again.
Just a few days back, the world had the opportunity to witness a huge rush of fascinating concept cars from world-renowned manufacturers like BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Hyundai, Bentley and more at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, which proved to be a truly marvellous show of brilliance and beauty. Having kept the global audiences spell-bound for two weeks, when this event finally came to a close on the 27th of January, Tata Motors decided that the world hasn't had enough awesomeness to witness for a fortnight and acting immediately on that decision rolled out yet another sensational innovation, the Tata Indica Vista D90 Xtreme Concept on the 28th. Based on the top-end variant of its flagship hatchback, titled as the Tata Indica Vista D90, which was launched on the very same day by the company, this brand new SUV concept promises to provide excellent handling and unmatched power in its performance.
Going by Tata’s plans for the additions to its line-up, we’ve got to say that this one is on a roll! The company had just recently launched the Tata Indica Vista D90 with the 90bhp diesel engine and now word in the industry has it that India’s leading automobile manufacturer is planning to launch a Tata Indica D90 with Manza features. Looking to further diminish the gap between the Tata Indigo Manza and the Tata Indica Vista, Tata will now introduce an Indica Vista model with features that already exist on the Manza Club Class. This new model will apparently be christened as the Tata Indica Vista ZX and is slated to be launched in a few months. Also, this new Tata Indica Vista model will be offered with Italian leather and a touchscreen system with satellite navigation among an array of other features. If rumours are to be believed, the Indica Vista D90 ZX will most likely be launched by the end of the first quarter of 2013. This will make the Indica Vista the only hatchback to be offered with touchscreen system. Furthermore, this product will help Tata increase its manufacturing volume and will also allow it to expand the Tata Indica Vista’s line-up.
The names of the short-listed contenders for the European Car of the Year (COTY) Award 2013 are finally out. And the reason why it is a time for celebrations in India is that our very own Tata Motors has secured a place on that prestigious list, amidst the world's most legendary car-giants like Mercedes Benz and Audi. A hatch with the finesse and class of a sedan, Tata Indica Vista will now compete for the title of the best car of the day with the likes of Audi A3, Porsche Boxter, BMW 3 Series, Volkswagen Golf and Mercedes A Class. Though to come out a winner, Tata Vista still has a long way to go. A panel of experts composed of 58 mavens of journalists from 22 countries of Europe stand between the winning trophy and the selected candidates for now. And the one who can impress them all will take the trophy home.
